Searching for a Work Order in ServiceChannel Provider

There are two ways to search for a work order: by using Search criteria or the Magnifying Glass. The table below will help you choose the right way based on the work order information you possess:

  • Trade
  • Location address
  • Assignee

You may search for a work order by the following criteria:

⦿ How to Search for a Work Order Using Search Criteria

Search tab on the work orders list screen



1. On the work order list screen, tap Search. The Search pop-up window appears.

2. Tap the desired number type (Tracking Number, Work Order Number, Purchase Order Number, or Location), and then enter the corresponding information in the above text field.

3. Turn off/on the Search This Tab Only toggle to ensure that the app searches for work orders among the required categories (Assigned to you, Internal, or External work orders).

4. Tap Search. The Search Results screen appears listing the work order(s) matching the specified criterion.

Using the Magnifying Glass to Find a Work Order

You may also use the magnifying glass 🔍 in the upper-right corner of the work orders list to quickly locate a work order.

You can locate work orders by Trade, Work Order Number, Location ID, Location Address, and Assignee.

You cannot locate a work order by Status, Priority, Category, Problem Description, or Scheduled Date.

⦿ How to Use the Magnifying Glass to Locate a Work Order
  1. On the work orders list, tap the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner. A text field appears to the left of the icon.You can use the magnifying icon to find the required work order
  2. Enter the required search criterion: Trade, Work Order Number, Location ID, Location Address, or Assignee. The screen will automatically filter the work orders list to show work orders that meet the criterion you have specified.Searching for a work order by trade will highlight all work orders that match the entered trade
  3. When finished, tap Cancel in the upper-right corner to exit the search screen.
