Assigning Proposals from the List View

It often happens that many people in the same organization work with proposals. You may need to assign a proposal to a specific employee in your company so that they could review and process it. An example of why this may be required is when you want the proposal to be approved by a user with higher approval limits. Should the proposal be already assigned, you can reassign it to another employee.

⦿ How to Assign a Proposal to a User
  1. Locate the proposal you want to assign on the Proposals List.
  2. Click More, and then select Assign in the drop-down list. When reassigning a proposal to another user, click Reassign.

  3. In the overlay that appears, select a user to assign the proposal to from the User dropdown.

Pick a reason for assigning the proposal to the selected person if your company has this feature turned on. Admin users can configure the reasons for assigning proposals in Admin > Proposals > Proposal Assign Reasons.

When assigning a proposal with a work order linked to it, you can also add labels, the purchase order number, select category, priority, and enter the approval code.

Additional fields are available for the following proposal statuses: Approved, Rejected, On Hold, Reviewed.

  4. (Optional) Edit the note that will be displayed to the user who you reassign the proposal to.
  5. (Optional) Update the email address of the employee the proposal is assigned to.
The email address of the selected user is set by default.
  6. Click Assign to confirm.
The proposal is assigned to the selected employee who can now take action on it.
