Searching for Providers using Discovery Cards and Coverage Map

When there is no provider to replace, you will see Industry Suggestions. The Discovery cards are designed to help you explore new providers for your future projects or if you want to close the coverage gap for your locations.

You can use Provider Search in multiple ways to ensure your target goal of finding the right providers has been reached.

Expand the section to learn more about other ways of provider search depending on your goals.
Goal Best Way to Start
I want to find providers serving a specific trade within a specific region to compare the providers and choose the one that best fits my needs.

Start the provider search process by entering the desired trade and the needed search area in the Search fields. For example, the Plumbing trade in New York Mills, Minnesota, United States.

I know a provider’s name and want to find them to invite to my Private Network.

Start typing a provider’s company name in the first Search field.

I want to know if I need to replace any of my In-Network providers with better-performing ones for potential cost savings.

Contact your ServiceChannel manager to enable Network Opportunities

Identify underperforming providers from your Private Network and see how you can improve your Network with better-performing providers

You may have Network Opportunities enabled, but still see the Discovery cards and Coverage Map. It may happen because of the following reasons:

  • Your user has Power User or/and Provider Assignment Editor secondary roles to be able to view Network Opportunities
  • Your current providers do not meet the requirements for provider analysis.
  • There are no opportunity providers yet to replace old providers. Check if there are opportunities next month.

In Provider Search, we have 3 Discovery cards to help you explore new providers:

  • The first two cards are curated by ServiceChannel — these providers are considered the best at a national level based on deep data-driven analysis. Though they may not correlate directly with your business, you might decide to keep them top of mind for future projects. Clicking any of these cards will take you to a list of providers to discover.
  • The third card is specifically catered to your needs — every time you have a trade with less than three assigned providers at a location, ServiceChannel forms a list of providers to help you expand your coverage. Clicking this card will take you to a list of providers to discover for that location’s coverage area.

  • To discover new providers using the cards, click on any Discovery card.
The Search Results page appears, showing you the collection of providers.

    You can
filter and sort providers in line with your needs.

Provider Recommendation Map

The Provider Recommendation Map loads on the main page and displays all of your locations. The areas highlighted in red show low coverage for providers and trades. The main purpose of the Provider Recommendation Map is to collect information about the areas that need your attention and help you find top-performing providers who service the corresponding trades.

Before the map loads, a pop-up appears where fixxbook.servicechannel.com asks you to allow it to use your current location, which is recommended.

Allow fixxbook.servicechannel.com to know your location

  • If you click Allow, the map zooms in to your current location.
  • If you click Block or close the pop-up, the map is displayed zoomed out over the US.

Note that the pop-up may look a bit different depending on the browser you are using.
