Logging in to Work Order Assignments to Manage Technicians

Work Order Assignment for Field Tech Manager (formerly known as "WorkForce for FTM") allows you to perform the following actions: 

  • Assign work orders to technicians.

  • Automate work order assignments.

  • Create forwarding rules.

Using Work Order Assignment for FTM is beneficial because you can assign an Internal Technician Group to all locations within Service Automation — as opposed to assigning individual technicians to multiple locations — and then automatically or manually dispatch work orders to internal technicians by trade and/or location within Work Order Assignment.

Your ServiceChannel representative initially sets up your Field Tech Manager account for you and assists you in adding your internal technicians in Work Order Assignment. The rest of this guide helps you to manage your Internal Technician Group going forward.

Accessing the Work Order Assignment Module

⦿ How to Access Work Order Assignment for FTM
  1. Navigate to login.servicechannel.com. The ServiceChannel home page appears.

  2. Enter your FTM username and password, and then click Login.

    This login differs from your standard ServiceChannel username and password.

  3. On the top-left corner of the screen, click the menu icon , and then click Work Orders > Work Order Assignment. The Work Order Assignment page appears.
