Managing Service Regions
A region designates a geographical area where you perform work and can be selected down to the county level. A region is also designated to be Self-Performing or Sub-Contracting. The regions where you perform work will show in your profile when a client is searching for possible contractors.
Setting up regions accurately and completely is critical when your client has asked you to load your rates or sales tax in Provider Automation.
You can set up one or many regions and the same geographical area can be used in multiple regions as necessary. Should your company perform different trades in different regions, or perform a trade Self-Performing in some areas and Sub-Contracting in others you must setup multiple regions to accurately reflect this. For example, the company iFixx Everything does HVAC work across the United States, but in some parts they are Self-Performing and in others they are Sub-Contracting. iFixx Everything should setup two regions; one for the parts of the country where they are Self-Performing and one for the parts where they are Sub-Contracting.
In situations where your client has asked you to load your rates in Fixxbook and your rates vary geographically, you must setup one region for each of your different rates.
