Configuring Reasons for Proposal Approval

You can activate proposal approval reasons that Facility Managers should pick while approving proposals via Service Automation and SC Mobile. Approval reasons provide feedback on what makes submitted proposals stand out and be approved right away.
Make sure you have the corresponding feature enabled. Contact your Customer Success manager if you cannot find the proposal approval reason settings.
Considering the Benefits of Using Approval Reasons
Your colleagues will stay in the loop about key criteria for approving proposals. For example, it might be the lowest price or the best fit for the job and the scope.
Suppose that several people review a proposal. When a manager approves a proposal and leaves a reason, the next person will have more insight into why the proposal was approved.
As a result, you spend less time processing proposals and bring more proposal-related data to your Proposal Analytics.
Adding Proposal Approval Reasons
The Proposal Approval Reasons configuration mandates Facility Managers to select a reason for proposal approval for certain trades and/or categories.
The list of possible reasons is configured in the Proposal Approval Reasons section of Service Automation Admin based on your business needs. You can create a list of reasons that will be universal for all proposals as well as add reasons that will be specific for proposals of certain trades and/or categories.
Only users with the Admin User and Super Admin roles can access the Proposal Approval Reasons section.
On the top-left of the page, click the menu icon, select Admin, and then under Proposals select Proposal Approval Reasons. The list of reasons for proposal approval appears.
Click Create New Reason. The Create New Reason overlay appears.
Select the desired categories and trades. Should you need to create a reason applicable to all proposals, select All Categories and All Trades.
Enter a reason for proposal approval.
Click Create. The reason for proposal approval appears in the list of reasons.
The approval reasons are now available in Service Automation and SC Mobile app when Facility Managers approve a proposal.
Once the reason is saved for a proposal, you can quickly find it in the proposal list view.

Editing and Removing Proposal Approval Reasons
Should you need to update or delete an existing reason for proposal approval, this will not affect the previously used reason.
Click the reason name. The Update Reason overlay appears.
Edit the required fields, and then click Save. The reason is updated.
At any time, you may remove reasons for proposal approval.
Select reasons that you wish to delete by clicking the empty checkboxes.
Click Delete Reason(s). The selected reasons for proposal approval are removed from Service Automation.
