About Notifications, Skips, and Overrides in MLP Ruleset

At the final stage of the MLP Ruleset configuration, you can configure action notifications, skips, and overrides for each level.

Notifications 

The following notifications are available for MLP user levels: 

• Action Notifications. If the notification checkboxes for specific action are selected for the level, all users of this level will get notifications about actions taken on proposals within their limit.  
  
  
  
  
• Auto Escalation Notification. Approvers in the MLP hierarchy are notified 24 hours before proposals are automatically escalated.  

Skips

Skips over limits are possible in the MLP ruleset. By selecting the Skip checkbox under an MLP level name, any proposal with the amount higher than the level's approval limit will not appear in their proposal list.  

For example, if the General Manager level can approve proposals up to $1200 and the Skip checkbox under the General Manager level is selected, then, proposals beyond $1200 will not appear on the Proposals List for this level.  

Override

In the MLP rules, you can configure the level override. By selecting the Override checkbox under an MLP level name, you let an approver not wait for the level below to act on a proposal.  

For example, the General Manager level can approve proposals up to $1200, but these proposals get the Reviewed status and should be finally approved by the Director of Operations level. If you select the Override checkbox under the Director of Operations level, it means that the Director of Operations can act on the proposals up to $1200 without waiting for the General Manager’s approval.
