Modifying Asset Types in SC Mobile

Asset Types Attributes and Meter Readings can be edited in SC Mobile when specific asset users are granted permission. This allows users to make necessary updates in real-time to support the accuracy of information on an asset. Depending on the role, you will have different capabilities when editing the attributes and meters of an asset. The roles are able to perform the following:


Asset Manager
  • Determine who can edit attributes.
  • Indicate which standard attributes can be edited.
  • Indicate which custom attributes can be edited.
  • Indicate which meter readings can be edited.
  • View assets edit history.
  • Update asset status.
SC Mobile User
  • View list of assets for a location.
  • Search for assets.
  • View asset history.
  • Edit asset attributes when authorized.
  • Create an asset.
SC Mobile Parsec User
  • Multiple assets on Planned Maintenance work orders are available.


⦿ How to Modify Asset Types in SC Mobile
  1. In SC Mobile, click the Manage Asset tile to enter assets.
  2. Choose a location to view the assets.

  3. Select an asset from the list to modify.
  4. Select an attribute with a * character to modify. 
    Select attributes
  5. Make the modification on the attribute then click the Back arrow to confirm.
