We recommend facility operations communicate with their providers to help prepare them to use Site Access with your locations and staff.
Provider Preparation
To prepare your provider partners to use Site Access, we recommend the following:
Share whether you require technician profiles for entry: In Site Access Rules, you determine whether a technician profile is required to check in. Share this information with your technicians so they create profiles and are ready to come onsite with minimal delays.
- Share with your provider partners key information to help check-ins run smoothly. The acceptable time frame set in Site Access Rules determines when a technician can check in, based on the Scheduled Date/Time. Give your provider partners those thresholds, as well as what to do when the Scheduled Date/Time must be moved to allow a technician to check in.
- Communicate with your provider partners on the importance of having badges scanned, even your "regulars". Companies that use Site Access treat provider access as a part of their security measures. We recommend clear communication and proactive measures are put in place in order to facilitate smooth adoption of Site Access.
Timing with turning on Site Access: As soon as the Badge Scanning function is turned on in Admin, scanning rules take effect immediately. Precisely-timed rollout is key so provider partners are not caught off-guard.
