As a technician, you can create and manage your profile in ServiceChannel Provider. Here is what you can do in the My Account section of the app:
Managing Your Profile Picture
The photo you add when creating your ServiceChannel account appears in your SC Provider profile, making it more human. Mind that your picture is visible to your company admins in Provider Automation, which helps them quickly identify you among other employees.
Besides, the profile picture gets added to your electronic badge. When you check into a work order, the badge photo permits location managers to see who is coming to perform the required service.
At any time, you can update your profile picture as needed.
- Navigate to the My Account section of SC Provider. The screen for managing your profile opens.
- Tap the camera icon at the bottom of your current photo, and either pick a photo from your library or take a new one. The photo appears at the top of your profile.
- Tap Save in the upper-right corner to update the profile.
Your profile has a new picture now; it is also visible to your manager in Provider Automation.
Adding a Contractor’s PIN
You can add the PIN of another provider company to your profile by tapping Add Contractor’s PIN below the profile picture.
General info includes your first and last name as well as your date of birth.
When your manager creates an invitation for you to use ServiceChannel Provider, they enter your first and last name. Thus, this info is already available in the Profile section of your SC Provider account once you log in for the first time.
In addition to your name, you can specify your date of birth by picking the date in the Birthday (Optional) field. After providing this info, remember to tap Save in the upper-right corner to capture your changes.
Resetting Your Password
Should you need to change your password for security reasons, you can do that within your profile.
- Go to the My Account section of SC Provider. The screen for managing your profile opens.
In the Account section, enter the password you’d like to update in the Current Password field.
- Provide a new password in the New Password field, and confirm your new password in the field below.
- Tap Save in the upper-right corner to save your changes.
Next time you log into the app, you should use your new password.
The Contact Details section stores info on where you live and how to reach out to you.
The phone number you specify when creating your ServiceChannel account via email invitation appears in this section. In case your number has changed, you can update it in your SC Provider profile.
Based on your company business needs, your manager may also ask you to fill out your home address, zip code, city, and state.
Once you fill out the fields, tap Save in the upper-right corner to update your profile.
