Managing Your Account in ServiceChannel Provider
As a technician, you can create and manage your profile in ServiceChannel Provider. Here is what you can do within your profile:
Accessing Your Profile in SC Provider
In the top right corner of the Home Screen or Work Orders list, depending on your user settings, is your profile photo in a circle. Tap on it to pull up your Profile.
Editing Your Profile Details
You can update the following information in your profile in the Edit Profile screen. Be sure to click Save at the top right hand corner.
Update Profile Picture
The photo you add when creating your ServiceChannel account appears in your SC Provider profile, making it more human. Your picture is visible to your company admins in Provider Automation, which helps them quickly identify you among other employees and is added to your electronic badge. When you check into a work order, the badge photo permits location managers to see who is coming to perform the required service.
Scanning a badge upon check-in is part of the ServiceChannel Site Access solution.
⦿ How to Update Your Profile Picture
Tap the camera icon at the bottom of your current photo, and either pick a photo from your library or take a new one. The photo appears at the top of your profile.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner to update the profile.
Providing Profile Information
General info includes your first and last name as well as your date of birth.
When your manager creates an invitation for you to use ServiceChannel Provider, they enter your first and last name. Thus, this info is already available in the Profile section of your SC Provider account once you log in for the first time.
In addition to your name, you can specify your date of birth by picking the date in the Birthday (Optional) field.
Adding Account Details
The Account Details section stores info on where you live and how to reach out to you. You can modify this section at any time.
The phone number you specify when creating your ServiceChannel account via email invitation appears in this section.
Based on your company business needs, your manager may also ask you to fill out your home address, zip code, city, and state.
Resetting Your Password
Should you need to change your password, you can do that within your profile.
⦿ How to Reset Your Password
In the Update Password section, enter your current password n the Current Password field.
Enter a password you’d like in the New Password field and Confirm New Password field.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner to save your changes.
Next time you log into the app, you should use your new password.
Adding a Contractor’s PIN
You can add the PIN of another provider company to your profile by
Tapping Add Contractor’s PIN below the profile picture.
Tap Add Another Pin.
Enter the PIN and if it is valid, it will connect the provider account.
Adding Certifications & Licenses
Add any certifications or licenses you may need to show on site before you begin your work.
Tap Certifications & Licenses.
Tap Add Another Certification.
Fill out the requested information.
Upload or take a photo of the credentials.
Tap Save.
Sound Notifications
Choose what kind of sound notifications, if any, you’d like to receive based on the work order type:
Non-Emergency Reactive Work Orders
Emergency Reactive Work Orders (ETA within 8 hours of the Call date).
Planned Maintenance Work Orders
How to Select Sound Notifications
Tap on the Work Order Type.
Toggle Silent on to select the sound type or off to mute notification sounds.
Tap the sound type if you’ve chosen the sound to be on. Your selection is automatically saved.
