Accepting Payments through Credit Card

With Payment Manager, you can accept invoice payments through both banking accounts and credit cards. Clients typically reserve payments through credit card for smaller invoice amounts; however some clients may also pay high invoice amounts through a credit card. We highly recommend accepting credit card payments so you support more ways of accepting payments.

Processing Fee for Credit Card Payments

A standard credit card processing fee will be charged when you accept payments through a credit card. The standard processing fee is currently 3.0%, and the applicable amount for your invoice will be deducted from your total payment. Should you offer any discounts for early payments, the applicable discount amount will be deducted from your total payment before the credit card fee is applied.

For example, if the total invoice amount is $200 and you offer 5% discount for payment within 5 days, when you are paid within 5 days through credit card, your discounted invoice amount will be $200 - 5% of invoice = $190. A 3% fee will be charged on this amount, and you will be paid $190 - 3% of $190 = $184.3

⦿ How to Update Accepting Payments through Credit Card
  1. On the Verification for Payment page, in the Credit Cards section, select either of the below settings as required:
    • Accept credit card payments: Select Yes
    • Not accept credit card payments: Select No
