Features and improvements
Admin. In the Security section of your admin settings, the Inactivity for Logout tab has been renamed Mobile Logout Inactivity. Since on that tab you configure the logout inactivity time for ServiceChannel Mobile app users only, we’ve updated the tab name to avoid confusion.
General. A few changes to the provider user registration form took place: the phone number employees enter is now formatted on the fly; instead of a username, people are asked to set a user ID; after completing the registration form, employees are prompted to download the ServiceChannel Provider mobile app to start working on their service requests.
Invoices. Good news for providers: the Excel report on invoices now contains clients’ names as well. They appear right next to the provider name and help providers quickly figure out which companies their invoices have been submitted to.
Work Orders. Going to add a note to several work orders at a stroke? Note that you can now alert the recipients to take further action on these WOs by selecting the Action Required checkbox and specifying the required emails in the overlay for adding a note in bulk.
Work Orders. The Asset History tab of the WO details page now reflects the user ID instead of the username of each person who made a status change.
Bug fixes
Admin. For newly created users, the Permissions tab of the user’s profile was missing the dropdown with primary roles and the lion’s share of secondary roles. We’ve brought them all back.
Admin. The Proposals admin section vanished from the hamburger menu when you tried to access it from the Asset Manager or Planned Maintenance module.
Admin. You couldn’t use dots for location IDs when creating or editing your locations. Though there are special characters that should be avoided, dots don’t belong to this list.
Asset Manager. Brand names consisting of two or more words didn’t show up when you searched for them while creating or editing an asset.
Compliance Manager. In some cases, providers appeared as non-compliant with the “Client Contacts” requirement even when this section was completed on the providers’ side.
Invoices. On the invoices list, providers couldn’t find the Subscriber filter in the All Filters overlay. This filter has come back home!
Locations & Provider Assignments. When you viewed details of several locations one after another, the location name in the upper-left corner of the details page changed all of a sudden to the name of the location you viewed before.
Planned Maintenance Manager. Reports on PM work orders to be created in the upcoming week failed to reach some of you. Instead, the reports arrived when those WOs had already been created. We ensure the reports arrive in time now.
Provider Directory. After the previous release, the tax ID number got lost from the Directory profile of multiple providers. To boot, some providers’ business names were changed. We’ve restored this information.
Provider Directory. The number of unread alerts 🔔 and messages ✉️ was displayed neither in the upper-right corner of Provider Automation nor under the My Fixxbook section of the provider’s Console page.
Provider Directory. When providers without Fixxbook accounts received an invitation from Canadian subscribers to join their private network, providers faced a problem with selecting the required state or province: the drop-down list contained US states instead of Canadian ones.
Webhooks. Once a work order was reassigned, the original provider received a notification displaying an incorrect WO status: it was “Open” instead of “Completed/Cancelled”.
Work Orders. After providers downloaded current auto-assignment rules from the Work Order Assignment section, they may have found duplicate rows in the file. Duplicates appeared if providers created the same auto-assignment rule that already existed for the same technician.
Work Orders. The “No Activity Alert” report on open work orders with no provider activity for a certain period arrived with all the data squeezed in one cell, which made it difficult to view the report. Each block of info has its own cell now.
