A situation may occur when assets being held at one location need to be transferred to another location. To ensure the complete process is handled properly and updated in Service Automation, you can create an Asset Transfer work order when physically moving the asset to the destined location. This ensures that Service Automation has the exact location of the moved asset on record.
When selecting an asset for transfer, the work order's trade and category will reflect what is chosen for Asset Rules under Asset Transfer section.
⦿ How to Create an Asset Transfer Work Order from the Asset Module
Locate an asset from the list and click the Actions button to expand the list
Click the Transfer Asset link to open the modal
Use the drop-down arrow to select
New Location
Reason for Transfer
Click the Generate Transfer WO button to submit the request.
A work order number displays on a green banner to verify the Asset Transfer work order.
