Asset First Mobile allows specific users to create work orders directly from a list of assets that are associated with an asset category in the Assets module. This method of creating a work order on assets provides a greater amount of information and visual representation to ensure the correct asset is receiving proper service. This also eliminates any confusion between yourself and service providers which in terms saves time and money. When it is time to create the work order for an asset for a location, you are required to include multimedia to support the work order. This includes adding an image or video. A library of multimedia is collected to where you can select from the saved library or upload a new multimedia.  


⦿ How to Create an Asset First Work Order
  1. Select a Work Order option from the home screen.
    1. If applicable, select a location for the asset first work order
  2. Select an Asset Category.
  3. Select the Asset.

  4. Add a Problem Description in the textbox.

    You must have at least 10 characters in the Problem Description textbox. 

  5. Review the work order and add required Multimedia
  6. Click the Done button to submit the work order and receive a tracking number.

In order for users to create a work order with Asset First Mobile, it must be enabled in Dashboard Settings under the Request Tab. Depending on your location settings, each dashboard would need to have the setting enabled.

Navigating Asset First Mobile

By default, you will see the assets by View Assets tab. Scrolling through the list from right to left displays all the asset categories along with a visual if added during creation. When selecting a specific asset category, the list of asset appears with a visual if added along with the:

  • Tag ID
  • Asset Tag
  • Work Order Location

Users with access to a location with multiple dashboards can select from a drop-down list to select a dashboard for a specific asset. There is the ability to use the search textbox to location an asset and the capability to scan and find an asset. You can always go back to the standard view to create a work order for an asset by changing the View Assets tab. Each asset can display its details and service history.
