Features and improvements

Core modules

Asset Manager. While adding a new asset, you don’t have to associate it with a specific area. To free assets from this extra dependency, we've added a new default Non-Specific Area option to the Work Order Area drop-down list.

Email Alerts. Emails reminding providers about completed work orders that haven’t been invoiced are now sent out only if the ServiceChannel team has enabled and customized these emails for you per your request. We no longer dispatch these emails unless you want us to do that. 📞 Contact your Customer Success Manager should you want to enable this feature.

Bug fixes

Core modules

Work Orders. On the Asset History tab of the WO details page, there were duplicate records about an asset associated with the service request. If an asset was linked to a work order upon its creation in dashboard, the record stating when and who added this unit to the WO was displayed twice. No more duplicates!

Work Orders. Some providers might have faced the following issue: a work order that was reassigned to them appeared in the In Progress / Dispatch Confirmed status, though they hadn’t accepted the WO yet. It happened when the original provider replied to the email about the service request cancellation with Yes or Accept. It’s not an issue anymore.

Add-on modules

Projects. An error occurred when some of you tried to issue an RFP task. In case the proposal submitted for this RFP had already been approved from the Proposals module, and a WO had been created upon approving the proposal, the Projects module threw an error when you issued this RFP task. Not only did you receive an error but also got duplicate work orders. You can issue RFP tasks with proposals approved in the Proposals module without any issues now.
