Situations occur when assets being held at one location need to be transferred to another location. To ensure the complete process is handled properly and updated in Service Automation, an Asset Transfer work order can be created to physically move the asset to the destined location and ensure Service Automation has the exact location of the moved asset.

Generate Asset Transfer Modal


When selecting an asset for transfer, the work order's trade and category will reflect what is chosen for Asset Rules under Asset Transfer section.  


⦿ How to Create an Asset Transfer Work Order from the Asset Module
  1. Locate an asset from the list and click the Actions button to expand the list
  2. Click the Transfer Asset link to open the modal 
  3. Use the drop-down arrow to select
    1. New Location
    2. Reason for Transfer
      Transfer Asset Modal
  4. Click the Generate Transfer WO button to submit the request
  5. A WO number displays on a green banner to verify the Asset Transfer WO
