Internal Technicians Groups

As part of the initial configuration, your ServiceChannel representative will first create your FTM ServiceChannel Provider Internal Tech Group , and then assign that group to your desired Locations. Going forward, you may need to manage which rank your FTM Internal Tech Group resideshas.

Note

Service Automation users with the Admin role may Admin User, Power User, Power User Lite, Provider Assignments Editor, or Super Admin secondary roles can add provider assignments to locations. See Adding and Editing Users for more information.

title⦿ How to Reassign Assign an FTM Internal Tech Group to a different Rank:


Tip

The steps below illustrate how to quickly reassign your FTM Internal Tech group Group within desired locations in bulk. There are, however, multiple ways to assign your group to locations.

  1. Login Log in to Service Automation.
  2. On In the top-left corner of the screen, click the menu icon icon Image Modified, and select  Locations and Locations & Provider Assignments.
  3. On the Locations page, check the box(es) next to the desired Location(s).Locations listImage Added
  4. On At the bottom of the Locations list, click  the Assign/Retire Providers for ’n’ Locations ('n' indicates # Locations button where # is the number of the locations you have selected).   The  Provider Assignment  overlay appears.Image Added
  5. Select your

    FTM

    Internal Tech

    group

    Group from the Provider drop-down menu.

    Note

    You may find some providers highlighted in gray. Such providers cannot be assigned to locations and complete work orders as they were marked with the “Do Not Dispatch” flag in Compliance Manager.


  6. Select the desired

     

    Trade

     

    from the drop-down menu.

    Tip

    Select the All Trades option to assign your Internal Techs group to all the

    desired Rank position

    trades for the selected locations.


  7. Select the desired Rank position from the drop-down menu.

  8. Select the desired Category from the drop-down menu.

    Note

    Contact your ServiceChannel representative to enable provider assignment based on category.


  9. Click   Next. The Provider Assignment confirmation page overlay appears.

    Should you already have a provider in a slot that you are attempting to assign your

    FTM

    Internal Group to, you may be prompted to retire your current provider from that rank. Ensure each of your Provider Assignments

    are

    is properly ranked and resolved.

  10. Click  Confirm. A green bar appears indicating the provider assignment was saved.
