Internal Technicians Groups

As part of the initial configuration, your ServiceChannel representative will link first create your FTM ServiceChannel Provider Internal Tech Group and then assign that group to your desired Locations in Service Automation. Going forward, you may need to manage which rank your FTM Internal Tech Group resideshas.

Note:Service Automation users with the Admin role may Admin User, Power User, Power User Lite, Provider Assignments Editor, or Super Admin secondary roles can add provider assignments to locations. See “Adding and Editing Users” for more information.

title⦿ How to Reassign Assign an FTM Internal Tech Group to a Different Rank:


Notetip

Note:The steps below illustrate how to quickly reassign your FTM Internal Tech group Group within desired locations in bulk. There are, however, multiple ways to assign your group to locations.

Login
  1. Log in to Service Automation.
At
  1. In the top-left corner of the screen, click the menu icon Image Added, and select
 Locations and
  1. Locations & Provider Assignments.
  2. On the Locations page, check the box(es) next to the desired Location(s).Locations listImage Added

  1. At the bottom of the Locations list, click
 
  1. the Assign/Retire Providers for
’n’ Locations. (Note: ’n’ indicates
  1. # Locations button where # is the number of the locations you have selected.

    Note

    You may find some providers highlighted in gray. Such providers cannot be assigned to locations and complete work orders as they were marked with the “Do Not Dispatch” flag in Compliance Manager.

  1. from the drop-down menu.

    Tip

    Select the All Trades option to assign your Internal Techs group to all the trades for the selected locations.


  2. Select the desired

 
  1. Rank

 
  1. position from the drop-down menu.

Click 
  1. Select the desired Category from the drop-down menu.

    Note

    Contact your ServiceChannel representative to enable provider assignment based on category.


  2. Click Next. The Provider Assignment confirmation
