Features and improvements

Admin. In Provider Automation, when you invite a user, we now check if their email already exists in the system. Additionally, when the invited user accepts your invitation and starts creating their profile, we also check their username and email. Should one of them already be in our system, we show them an error message.

Admin. Our new feature adds a note to a work order once you reassign this WO to another provider via the “Remap Provider for WO” template. To use this feature, reach out to ServiceChannel.

Asset Manager. It warms our hearts to inform you that several people can upload files with assets at the same time. On the Imported Assets page, check the status indicated in the Records Added/Updated column: In Progress means that your file is being uploaded, while Queued marks files that will be transferred to our system soon.

Compliance Manager. From now on, when you send notifications to non-compliant contractors, these notifications are saved in the outgoing messages box. To check them, click ✉ (Messages) in the upper right corner, and go to the Outgoing tab.

SC Mobile. On the Notes tab of a work order, the image thumbnails were displayed only for JPGs, PNGs, and GIFs. We’ve added one more option to this range — the HEIC format.

Bug fixes

Admin. After you changed a location ID, the Wiki notes for this location visually disappeared both from the location details page and from the Location Notes section of your dashboard.

Admin. On the page with checklists, trying to inactivate a checklist caused an issue with the interface design. After you opened the inactivation overlay, the background page stayed active — with a slightly altered layout.

Asset Manager. We’ve returned the option to import assets via text files. You can upload the file from the good old place — the Imported Assets section.

General. After you submitted a proposal tied to a work order from the WOs list, the list reloaded and turned into the proposals page. No more magic — from this time forth, the WOs page and all the applied filters remain intact upon the proposal creation.

Invoices. Some of you could have encountered an empty History tab after opening an invoice details page. The issue hit invoices in all statuses except for "Open" ones, but not anymore.

Invoices. Some of you couldn’t download a report on line-item invoices created by a provider via our API. Sorry for leaving you without the reports. P.S. Our API is a system for seamless integration between the ServiceChannel and a third-party platform.

Proposals. For providers who need to select an asset while creating a proposal, we’ve made a few tweaks so that the Asset Type drop-down list contains only relevant options.

SC Provider. Should a provider be retired from a location where they still have assigned work orders, they can find those service requests in SC Provider and complete them. Previously, providers got no results when trying to locate such WOs.

Work Orders. Even when all settings on the client’s side were correct, providers couldn’t add a resolution to WOs in those statuses that required it — the Resolution field was simply missing from the overlay for adding notes.

Work Orders. We’ve disabled the filters panel when you search for work orders on the new WOs list. That is required to ensure that search and filter criteria do not overlap, causing incorrect results. To enable the filters panel, clear your search criteria.

Work Orders. You can edit the problem description of a work order without the page freezing.
