Features and improvements
Core modules
Admin. If providers decide to add a photo of an employee when creating or updating a user profile in User Management, they can check some tips on how the photo should look like. In the section for uploading a photo, providers will find an info icon. As they hover over it, the profile photo guidelines appear.
Weather. Each short version of regular reports now includes weather types. Watch for the Weather Type column in the Excel file.
Work Orders. Want to include WO labels in your regular Excel reports? Give us a shout, and we will embed them in the reports!
Add-on modules
Projects. Canceling a project may become the best course of action at some point. Regardless of the current project status, you can cancel and reopen it when the time is ripe. Use the Cancel Project or Reopen Project option in the Actions dropdown for this purpose.
Projects. To keep project managers posted about projects that get re-approved, we send an email notification once the corresponding change order gets approved.
Refrigerant Tracking Manager. We’ve updated an Excel report on leak events so that the Refrigerant Source Location column displays the location ID rather than the location name.
Bug fixes
Core modules
Admin. The number of Analytics licenses held by the employees in your company was incorrect on the Analytics tab of a user profile. It included licenses that belonged to deactivated users. You see the actual count of used licenses now.
Compliance Manager. You couldn’t delete inactive users from the list of people who were granted access to Compliance Manager — they appeared as active, and there was no Delete option. We’ve brought it back.
Dashboard. Even when you didn’t enable approval codes to appear on the request confirmation page, they nevertheless showed up right there. Should the Enable Accounting Fields checkbox be deactivated on the Request Confirm tab of your dashboard settings, the code fields do stay out of sight now.
Dashboard. Location users could still download an Excel report on open work orders even when this preference was disabled. The system follows the rules now and shows the Export to Excel button only if the Allow Excel Download preference is enabled on the Report tab of the dashboard settings.
Dashboard. You decided to export an Excel report on work orders from the View All Work Orders tab, but alas! An error popped up, and the file didn’t get loaded.
Locations & Provider Assignments. In your Excel report on location notes, an ampersand character & in the name of a location note header would get replaced by HTML code. Now, ampersands look the way humans — not machines — expect them to look.
SC Provider. Technicians couldn’t register for their provider company via the ServiceChannel Provider mobile app — the “Something went wrong” error message popped up at the last step. The registration process works without a hiccup again.
Work Orders. After a provider cloned an existing proposal linked to a work order and submitted it as a new one, the name of the wrong person appeared on the Status History tab of the WO. It was the name of the person who created the original proposal instead of the one who created the clone.
Work Orders. For work orders in the “In Progress/Dispatch Confirmed” status, the Reassign button is no longer available in the WO list or detailed view. Yet, should you decide to reassign a service request which is already in progress, select the Open & Reassign option from the list of statuses in the overlay for editing a WO.
Work Orders. When providers searched for specific work orders by tracking number or location ID from the Track WO/PO page, all service requests popped up on the WOs list instead of those that providers were looking for. Another problem occurred after providers added a WO note from the WO list view. The filter applied before adding a note reset, and all WOs showed up on the list.
Add-on modules
Decision Engine. The Asset Intelligence section of an invoice housed a broken link to completed work orders tied to the asset. The link didn’t lead you to the WOs list, but now it does.
Supply Manager. For orders created through Supply Manager, the problem description is no longer missing the Reason for Order info and the answer to the What Aisle/Bay is this for? question.
Supply Manager. In the dashboard menu, the Supply Manager menu item appeared twice. Both led you to an incorrect page. Done with that.
