There are times when assets need to be taken out of service in cases like this assets can be deactivated. This could be due to a seasonal increase or decrease in need or or prolonged repair process. Regardless of the reason, rather than remove an asset from the database, you can deactivate it and then reactivate when the need arises.
Deactivating an Asset

Navigate to the Asset module.
Locate the asset that you want to deactivate.
Click the Actions button then select Deactivate Asset.
Activating an Asset

Navigate to the Asset module.
Locate the asset that you want to activate.
Click Actions button then select Activate Asset.
Viewing Deactivated Assets
Using the filters on the Assets List, you can view which of your assets are deactivated.
⦿ How to View Deactivated Assets in the List View
Navigate to the Manage Assets section.
Check the box next to Show Deactivated Assets.
Deactivated assets will display with their Tag IDs in red.
