There may be times when one work order is not sufficient to address an issue at a location. In cases like this, additional work orders will have to are created to completely address the issue. To make the The Linked Work Orders feature makes the creation, managing, and review of multiple work orders easier, the Linked Work Order feature was added. Users, with the feature enabled, can link work orders making it easier to find all work orders that are linked. With the LInk_Work_Order feature enabled, users can link either Classic Service Request or Dashboard Service Request.
There are two options for linking work orders, linking work orders after they have been created or linking subsequent work orders during creation. Either way, viewing linked work orders that are linked is achieved by clicking the link icon on a work order that is linked to at least one work order.

Viewing Linked Work Orders Anchor View View
There are two ways to view linked work orders in the list view. You can click directly on the link on work order or filter for linked work orders.
Accessing Linked Work Orders from the Work Order.
- Click the Link icon to view work orders that have been linked
- . The linked work orders will appear in a pop up.

- Click on the work order number link in the pop up to view a specific linked work order.

You can toggle on the With Linked Work Orders filter to see linked work orders in the list view or exclude linked work orders in the list view.

Managing Attachments for Linked Work Orders
When linking work orders with attachments via the “new work order creation method”, users have the option, if enabled (speak to your ServiceChannel Representative for more information on this feature) to select which attachments migrate to the newly created, linked work order. This is especially helpful when some of the attachments from the initial work order are sensitive in nature and or confidential.

Navigate to one of the work orderorders that you want to link to, then click Edit Work Order. The initial work order has 4 attachments. Image Added Click the text entry box to the right of Linked Work Orders and a pick list will appear. Check the box next to each work order that you want to link to. As you check work orders, they will be added to the list. Click Save to complete the process.
