Under Work Order Assignment you , you can manually assign work orders to either one or multiple technicians , and then view a list of all work orders assigned to technicians.

You can also review a list of work orders to assign to technicians and sub-contractors.

Tip

You can also automatically assign work orders to technicians based on locations and/or trades, and forward work orders to other technicians during vacation breaks or extended leave.

Manually Assigning a Work Order

When you assign a work order to a technician, the technician's name appears on the work order.

You can assign a work order to either one or many technicians.

  1. Under the Employees tab, locate the desired technician and then click Assign WO. The Assign WO to <technician> modal appears.
  2. Enter a Tracking Number, Work Order Number, or Service ID.

  3. Click Assign.
    1. The Assign WO button updates with the number of work orders assigned. You can then view all work orders assigned to that technician.
    2. An email is sent to the technician via the email listed in Provider Automation.
    3. The technician can view and manage the work order through ServiceChannel Provider Mobile.

  1. Click Assign WO next to one of the desired technicians. The Assign WO to <technician> modal appears.
  2. Enter a Tracking Number, Work Order Number, or Service IDthe tracking number of the desired work order.
  3. Click Add People. The modal expands, listing all of your technicians.

  4. Click the plus (+) icon next to each desired technician, or click Assign to All to select all technicians.

  5. Click Assign.

  • Next to the desired technician, click the down arrow to view the list of work orders assigned, along with the Location ID and the work order Category (for example, "Maintenance" or "Repair").
