ServiceChannel Provider

ServiceChannel Provider or SC Provider is a mobile application that is used by external field technicians to receive, view, record parts usage, and check into and out of work orders dispatched through Service Automation.


Setting-Up ServiceChannel Provider for Internal Technicians


ServiceChannel Provider is available for both IOS and Android devices and can be downloaded from their respective app stores.

Important: It is Important for users to keep their version of SC Provider updated. This ensures that any new functionality is available.


External technicians who will be using SC Provider to manage and process work orders must have an account established, for them, in User Management, before they can be assigned work orders, or they can request an account by first downloading the SC Provider application and then requesting access.

Adding Technicians to SC Provider

⦿ How to Create a Technician Account for ServiceChannel Provider
  1. Navigate to User Management,  under Administration.

  2. Click Invite User.
  3. Complete both the Basic and Access forms, then click the Invite button.
  4. You will receive confirmation that the invitation was successfully sent.

Each Technician will need a ServiceChannel Provider account in order to receive and process work orders. Technicians are informed by email when they have been invited to set up an account. Each technician will have to respond to the invitation, by clicking the  Start Now button in the invitation email that they receive. 

⦿ How to Respond to an Invitation from Provider Automation (Technician Invitation)
  1. Navigate to your email account and locate the message sent from your employer.
  2. Click the Start Now button.
  3. Complete the 3 presented forms, including setting a password.
  4. You will receive confirmation that your account has been successfully registered.
