When work orders are created outside of business hours or during Holidaysholidays, service providers and internal facility teams might may not be available at the moment to review and take action on the work orders. For cases in which these WOs are in a high High priority or emergency , these WOs work orders should be redirected to someone a provider who is available at that time.

In Service Automation, admin users have the ability to set up operating hours, and create and set Holidays across all locations or specific locations. Business hours can be set up by different days of the week, and the Holidays can be set up with the desired frequency. When setting up business hours, you have the ability to specify the time zone of the location so the system will reflect the local time for the selected locations.

  1. From the top hamburger menu, click Admin > Location Settings > Business Hours. The Business Hours page appears.
  2. On the Business Hours page, fill in the business hours for your locations, then click Save Business Hours Changes button. The business hours have been set for all locations.

  2. On the Business Hours page, click Add a Holiday button. The Holidays pop-up appears.

3. Fill out Holiday Name, Holiday Date, and Holiday Frequency. Once you choose the Holiday Frequency, the correspondent detailed preference selections appear.

4. Specify the desired repeat frequency, repeat day, and working hours.

5. Click Save Holiday button to save the changes, then close the popup window.

Managing Holidays for a Location

Once you have configured business hours for a location, you can specify when the location is closed for public holidays.

  • From the top hamburger menu, click Locations & Provider Assignments. The Location page appears.
  • Click on the desired location. The Location details page appears.
  • From the top tabs, click Business Hours tab. The Business Hours page appears.
  • Click on the Holiday you want to delete. The Holidays pop up appears.
  • Click Delete holiday button, the correspondent holiday has been deleted for this single location

    1. On the Business Hours tab of the location details page, navigate to the Holidays section.
    2. To add a holiday, click Add a Holiday.

    3. In the overlay for creating a holiday, do the following:
      1. Enter a holiday name.
      2. Choose a holiday date.
      3. Select how often the holiday occurs by choosing a frequency, and then specify on what days of the month or week the holiday repeats.
      4. Next to Hours, enter the business hours of the location on the holiday. If the location is closed on the specified day, select the Closed All Day checkbox.
    4. Click Save Holiday to save the changes.

    The holiday is saved, and the business hours you specified get applied to that day.


    Tip
    • To edit a holiday, click it, and make the required changes in the overlay that appears.
    • To delete a holiday, click Delete Holiday.
