RTM requires that users set the stage for their company to manage, track and report on their refrigerated assets. The preparation for companies includes:
a conversation with your ServiceChannel Representative to have RTM turned on for your company, including the various Feature Flags that add additional options and customization;designation of Refrigeration Administrators;designation of Refrigeration Technicians, either Internal (company employees) or External Technicians (provider employees);set up of Inventory location, that house refrigerant gasses;loading of refrigerated assets into Asset Manager;setting Leak Rate Thresholds & Calculation Methods; andsetting up Refrigerated assets in the Issue List including troubleshooting messagesIn ServiceChannel, refrigeration tracking requires a designated administrator. The refrigeration administrator, by permission, has access to all of the connected features of refrigerant tracking as well as the ability to:
- edit the leak location on a leak record
- edit the leak area
- edit the leak reason code
- edit action codes
The Refrigeration Tracking Administrator’s primary role is to maintain the accuracy of refrigerant use records.

- Navigate to Admin > Permissions > Users.
- Either scroll through the list of users or enter their name in the Filter search field, then click the return key.
- Click the pencil icon to open the selected individuals account.
- Select the Permissions tab.
- Ensure that:
- a Primary Role has been selected;
- Refrigeration is selected under Trades Permitted; and
- Refrigerant Tracking Admin has been checked.
- Click Save to complete the process.
- Complete the process until all of your Refrigerant Tracking Administrators have been setup.
