Reasons  for Rates Mismatch

Reasons for Rates Mismatch is a feature of Service Channel’s Decision Engine. One of the many features of this product is its ability to flag all submitted invoices when a labor rate is submitted that is either above or below the amount agreed upon between the client and the service provider. What this means for the service provider is that they will be required to submit a reason why they have submitted an invoice with a labor rate that is either above or below the agreed upon amount.

When a client sets up Reasons for Rates Mismatch they will inform the service providers, in their private network, that they will have to submit rates for the services that they provide. See Creating and Submitting Client Rates in Fixxbook.  Once

Some clients may require you to provide reasons for mismatched rates in your invoices. In this case, when you submit labor rates that are higher or lower than the rates you have agreed upon with your client, you will be prompted to enter a reason explaining the discrepancy.

You will be notified once your client requests service rates from you. Submit your rates, and wait until the client reviews them. Once the rates have been approved by the client, all subsequent invoices will undergo a validation process where labor rates are compared against those agreed upon in Fixxbook.

All invoices that contain labor rates that are above or below the agreed upon amount will be flagged and the service provider will have to give a reason why the labor rates do not match the agreed upon rates

Now, on the invoice form, when you submit a labor rate different from the agreed upon rate, you will be required to provide a reason for the mismatch. Enter a reason in the overlay that appears.

Or, you can change the rate to the agreed upon one by clicking Change to Agreed Upon Rate.

Note

Having Reason for Rates Mismatch enabled between you and your client does not prevent you from submitting a labor rate that is above or below the agreed upon rate. Nor does it prevent your client from paying the submitted amount.
