    Location Details

On the location Details tab, the information is presented in five sections:

  • Location Address. Lists the location ID, name, region, district, address, and GPS coordinates.
The region and district information helps you manage locations at regional or district levels. For example, you may use this information to set up HVAC winter preparation in cold regions earlier or to coordinate cleanup efforts for coastal locations after a hurricane.

Note

Fill out the Latitude and Longitude fields for your technicians to be able to log in to WOs in SC Provider.

  • Location Size. It is useful to specify the square footage of the internal building size, without the exterior, in the Building Size (Interior) field to calculate the average spend per square foot. Should you need to calculate it per square meter, select m from the Building Size Measure drop-down list.
  • Status. Shows the location open and closed date.
The Open Date indicates when you want to start generating the location was opened and started its business. You may also generate work orders for this location. For example, during the construction phase you can have this location 'open' so you can generate work orders and track progress. the location before it opens, for example, when it is still under construction. Conversely, the Closed Date is when the location stops all its business. Based on the dates listed here, ServiceChannel may bill you based on the number of open locationsAgain, you may still generate work orders after this date. See more about it in Closing a Location.
  • Inventory Details. Indicates the inventory location type with its details, or lets you mark a non-inventory location as inventory and assign its type. Learn more about the types in Creating Inventory Locations. You can select a FTM to conduct Inventory Cycle Counts on parts at a location via SC Provider Mobile.
  • Contact. Displays the primary contact for a location and their phone number, fax, and emails.
