Tip

If you are still using the Inventory Transfer Template to transfer parts from one location to another, we recommend that you enable the transfer functionality that allows you to create and keep track of inventory transfers via the UI. This whole section of SCU describes what types of transfers you can create and how you can automate the transfer process.

Tip

By default, all your inventory parts are included in the auto-restocking process. You can exclude certain inventory parts from the process by clearing the Auto Restock checkbox in the overlay for editing part information, in your Parts Catalog.

titleWhat you should know about the Shipped status?

Tip

When a transfer is moved to the Shipped status, the quantity to ship is immediately deducted from the part on-hand quantity at the source location. For the part quantity to be increased at the destination location, however, the latter should first acknowledge the receipt of the part. Thus, while the transfer is in progress, the shipped quantity remains invisible to you.

If you need to change the quantity to ship after the transfer is put into the Picking status, you should first move your transfer back to the Open status and then make the required adjustments.

titlePrint out the picking list.

Tip

When you are ready to pick the items off the shelves and ship them to the destination location, you can save the picking list as a PDF document or print it out.

The list can be then used as a checklist when picking the required items in a warehouse or another inventory location as well as as a shipping document added to the box that is shipped.
