Managing Assets with Providers
Improve asset data quality with help from your providers
Improve the quality of your asset data by partnering with your providers to keep information updated. You can now authorize your providers to create new assets and update asset details based on the work they’re doing onsite. During setup, you can customize which attributes can be edited by providers, and you can always review the history of provider updates to keep track of changes. With more accurate asset data, you can reduce downtime, manage assets proactively, and make better repair vs. replace decisions.
🗝 Refrigerant Tracking Dashboard for Europe
Improve sustainability by proactively monitoring refrigerant assets and open leak events
Refrigerant open leak events are extremely costly for your brand. Decrease costs and improve your compliance by closely monitoring every refrigerant asset, open leak event, and your corporate leak rate of greenhouse gasses in one place using the new Refrigerant Tracking Dashboard – now available for our European customers. New functionality allows for the mapping of refrigerant usage to the 100 Year Global Warming Potential Standards, allowing you to calculate the carbon equivalent for each type of refrigerant tracked and stay on top of your sustainability commitments.

Display of Refrigerated Asset Details
Quickly see the refrigerant type and total charge volume in the Asset List
To save you time, this update adds Refrigerant Type and Total Charge information to the summary displayed in the Asset List view, so that you don’t have to click on the asset to see those details.
🗝 Provider Certifications for Refrigerant Tracking
Be sure you’re dispatching providers with the right refrigeration certifications
Make informed decisions about which providers you dispatch to service refrigeration equipment based on their refrigerant tracking certifications. Once enabled, the “Level” field will require providers to enter their refrigeration qualification levels when updating their trade certifications in Fixxbook.

🗝 Asset First Work Order Creation (Coming Soon)
Easier store experience for creating accurate work orders
You want your location operations staff to quickly create accurate work orders so they can focus on serving customers. With asset-first work order creation, assets are grouped into categories with photos so that your frontline team can easily select the particular asset needing service. This simplifies the request process and saves time for store employees, while helping providers be prepared to fix the right asset and reduce downtime. With less confusion and frustration for operations staff, they’ll report issues more promptly and with less training. (Asset Category is a new, standardized field that helps with grouping assets and their associated resolution and root cause codes.)
Asset First Work Order Creation is in Limited Availability. Want to be among the first to test it out? Contact your CSM to take a test drive.
Faster Provider Invitation Process for Subscribers
Manage provider invitations and reminders more easily
The faster you onboard providers, the sooner they can start delivering great service. We redesigned the invitations page so it’s easier and quicker to manage your invitations and send reminders. You can also approve insurance documents directly from an invitation and easily view details of a provider’s compliance progress, speeding up the onboarding process and saving you time.
Easier Selection of Resolution and Root Cause Codes
Increasing data accuracy with new keyword search and asset category filters
With data on the resolutions and root causes of your work orders, you can proactively prevent those problems in the future and optimize how you fix them today. To make it easier and faster for technicians to record accurate resolution and root cause codes, we now display a shorter list of codes that match the corresponding asset category. If no asset is linked, technicians can select the asset category directly. They can also search to find relevant codes quickly. With the updated Asset Summary report in Analytics, you can find insights from your resolution and root cause data within each asset category.
Decline Reasons from Providers
Better visibility into a provider’s reason for declining a work order
When you understand why a provider is declining work orders, you can better optimize your network coverage and how you reassign work. This update gives you greater visibility into the reasons why providers are turning down service requests. When declining a request, providers must select a reason, which will be recorded in the work order notes.
🗝 Improved Data Accuracy After Changing Trades
Update issue list selections after the work order’s trade is changed
The original issue list selections are not always the most accurate, and they can throw off your reporting later. Now when the trade for a work order is changed, you can require your users to review the issue list selections and correct them if needed. This improves the quality of analytics on issue data like problem codes.

Time Offset for Planned Maintenance
Increased flexibility for check-in dates and times
This update allows the Scheduled Date and Call Date fields for daily PM work orders to be offset by a specified number of hours, rather than defaulting to 12:00 AM. This makes scheduling more flexible and allows you to accurately track provider check-ins for overnight work.
Updated Labor Rate Terminology
More accurately record holiday hours
This functionality updates the labor rate terminology from “Double Time” to “Double Time/Holiday” to more closely reflect industry standards and simplify your record-keeping.
🗝 Microsoft Teams Integration
Track and add work order notes quickly within Teams
If you use Microsoft Teams, you now have the option to receive work order note updates in a Teams chat. You can also add notes to a work order and designate others as “Watchers,” ensuring they’re notified of any changes.

Email Notification Settings per Provider
Reducing unnecessary emails with new settings for each provider
ServiceChannel notifies you by email when providers miss the ETA or update your work orders, such as to decline or cancel, so you can stay on top of your operations. However, in certain cases, these emails are irrelevant, particularly with internal providers. Now you can add selected providers to an exclusion list, so you do not receive unnecessary emails related to those providers.
Mobile OS Support Update
Updating iOS & Android version support to better serve you and your providers
Later this year, ServiceChannel will no longer provide support for Apple devices running iOS 13 or older and Android devices running 8.1 or older. In order to enjoy newer versions of subscriber and provider mobile apps, as well as enhancements and bug fixes, devices must be running iOS 14 or Android OS 9.0 or higher by August 2022. The apps will continue to work for those running older operating systems, but bugs or issues may arise. By supporting fewer mobile OS versions, ServiceChannel can develop new features and squash bugs quickly and effectively, providing you with a better overall user experience.
