Features and improvements

Core modules

Asset Manager. On the new assets list, you can filter assets by state or province right off the bat — without selecting the country first. Note, however, that this rule applies to the U.S. states only, meaning that you still have to select the country before filtering assets by Canadian provinces.

Work Orders. Our new feature changes the way how the estimated time of arrival (original ETA) is calculated for classic linked service requests. Instead of copying the original ETA from the parent WO, we can now generate a new ETA based on the linked WO call date and priority. Contact ServiceChannel to have this feature enabled.

Work Orders. Whenever a work order gets automatically reassigned from an FTM internal tech to an external provider, a more detailed note gets added to the WO now, explaining the reassignment reason.

Bug fixes

Core modules

Dashboard. On the page for taking action on invoices, you couldn’t find the invoice number. In some cases, this page was also missing the fields for entering additional approval codes. Besides, when you edited the codes upon processing an invoice, they weren’t updated in Service Automation. This version brings the cure for all of these problems.

Provider Directory. Some U.S. providers faced an issue in the overlay for updating the company information. The Social Security Number radio button was selected next to SSN or EIN even though it was the Employer Identification Number that providers used for tax identification.

Work Orders. Had no luck in editing multiple WOs at once because of the infinite loading screen? Got stuck upon trying to view all the notes for a WO from the list view? Caching issues stood behind that. We’ve made some tweaks to stop these things from happening.
