As a person who is on the receiving side of the inventory movement process, you can track the requested parts from the Receiving tab. By default, the latter displays all the parts that have been shipped to your locations. To mark that the parts have been received, follow the steps below.

Note

To be able to mark inventory transfers as received, you should have the Receive Inventory permission. Learn more about Subscriber Permissions.

Marking Inventory Transfers as Received

  2. (Optional) Apply filters to quickly find the required transfer. By default, the Receiving tab shows you all Shipped and Partially Received transfers.Applying filters to find the required transfers

  4. Enter the quantity that was received.In the Quantity Received field, you should enter the part quantity you received

    If the quantity that you received plus the quantity that was lost is less than the quantity that was shipped, your transfer will be assigned the Partially Received status once you save the entered amount. Parts may be delivered to you later on, and you will be able to adjust the Quantity Received value.

  5. If some parts got lost on the way to the location, specify how many of them got lost in the Quantity Lost field. Otherwise, your transfer will be considered partially received.Specifying the part quantity that got lost

    Note that the total of the Quantity Received and Quantity Lost should equal the Requested Shipped for the transfer to be considered received.


  6. Click Save.

Viewing Shipped and Received Transfers

Using various filters under the Receiving tab, you can create a report on transfers that have been shipped, partially received, or received in full over a specific period of time.

  1. Switch to the Receiving tab.Receiving tab showing the list of shipped and partially received transfers
  2. Filter your list of transfers. Once you specify the required filtering criteria, click Apply.
    1. Status: Select the Shipped, Received, or Partially Received checkbox to view transfers in the corresponding status.
    2. Time period: Decide whether you want to filter transfers by Creation Date, Ship Date, or Receiving Date, and then enter the required time period to get transfers that have been created, shipped, or received over this time period.
    3. Transfer Type: Select which type of transfers you want to view: Standard, Store, or Restocking.
    4. Source and Destination: Pick the source location(s) the parts were taken from and then the destination location(s) where the parts were moved to.Filtering options on the Receiving tab
  3. Click the transfer to view its details.
