Statuses for Connected Assets
Assets with Components and Circuits:
When a parent asset that has components or circuits should be taken out for repair or replaced, the child assets cannot stay alone and need to be associated with a new asset. Setting the parent asset to the Out For Repair status and specifying what asset is to be installed breaks the connection between the original asset and its components / circuits. The children get linked to the new parent.

---|
Among the asset options that you and providers can select to replace a parent asset, you can find only those that don’t have any connected assets yet. |
Racks and Assets Connected to Racks:
If the provider replaces a refrigerant rack asset with another rack, all the assets connected to the original rack will be linked to the newly installed rack. Their connection with the original asset will be terminated.

Among the asset options that you and providers can select to replace a rack, you can find only those that have no connected assets. |
