When you are modifying an asset type, you are actually modifying the values set for that asset. There are several options that need to be taken into consideration. First, if an attribute is set to hide, then assets under there are several things you need to take into consideration.

• You should have the appropriate permission granted by the admins to be able to modify the attributes of existing asset types.
• If a standard attribute for your asset type is set to Hide, then assets belonging to that asset type will not have a value for that attribute. If you change an attribute from

• you want the now viewable attribute

• to be viewable for all previously added assets for that asset type.

• Any modifications made will only show after the modification is made

• Required, only assets added after the change will have that attribute as a requirement. The attribute field will be added to the existing assets.
