To help manage locations where trades do not have sufficient providers assigned, the Assignment Gap option allows you to have insight to identify gaps that are not filled for locations. The gaps are identified in real-time, meaning whenever gaps are identified, the locations and trades appears and when a provider is assigned to a trade at a location, the gap is no longer identified. Using Assignment Gaps ensures all locations are assigned providers for trades needed.

Identifying Provider Assignment Gaps

There are two ways identify Provider Assignment Gaps. You can use the:

Display Assignment Gap Checkbox
Review Gaps button

Filtering Provider Assignment Gaps

When the Assignment Gaps box is checked, it impacts how you filter the list. It automatically excludes and disables closed locations option and automatically includes and disables open locations. From the drop-down, the following options are not available:

Recognizing Assigned and Open Location/Trade Gaps

Once the Assignment Gap is checked, it provides you with two different ways to identify Location/Trade gaps. The two ways are:

Assigned Locations: Identified gaps at locations where the trade has a maximum of 2 of external providers and 0 FTM providers assigned
Open Locations: Locations with trades but do not have any providers assigned to them.

If you have a high number of locations, it could be a couple of minutes between updating Service Automation after closing the gap.
