Features and improvements

Core modules

Work Orders. Do you fancy adding labels or editing them for invoiced work orders? With our new feature enabled, you can do that from the WO details page by clicking the pencil ✏️ icon next to the label field. Important: you should also have the “Admin User”, “Super Admin”, “Power User”, or “Power User Lite” role. Contact ServiceChannel to start using it!

Work Orders. To clean up the Work Order Assignment section (aka WorkForce), we’ve removed the Service ID field from work orders. The field showed the WO caller name rather than service ID, which caused confusion and wasn’t helpful. Note that the option to group WOs by service ID (caller) has been removed as well.

Add-on modules

Projects. The project details page loads faster now! For better performance, we’ve implemented a few tweaks to speed it up.

Bug fixes

Core modules

Asset Manager. Being able to create asset types and having no chance to view them on the asset types list. Weird! This bizarre issue has been quashed.

Work Orders. Multiple work orders got automatically closed for no reason. We’ve fixed the issue that caused this incident and put the affected service requests back to their original statuses.

Add-on modules

Inventory Manager. When completing a work order, technicians captured the usage of a refrigerant part from the location inventory. The used amount of the part should have been deducted from the part’s available quantity in Inventory Manager, but it didn’t happen. Apologies to those who faced the issue.

Projects. After creating a project, you might have noticed that the Location Name field on the project details page showed the location address instead of the name. The field now fulfills its role properly.
