In an effort to reduce the amount of refrigerants that are released into the atmosphere, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has amended its National Recycling and Emission Reduction Program, more commonly known as Section 608. The purpose of this amendment is to reduce the release of greenhouse gases by tightening the allowable leak thresholds, requiring more accountability on the part of contractors and technicians and increasing the frequency of system inspections by certified EPA technicians.

Refrigerant Tracking Management is an integrated module that embeds refrigerant tracking in the current ServiceChannel workflow for subscribers using Service Automation and technicians using the ServiceChannel Provider mobile application. Additionally, service providers can fully service refrigerated work orders from within Provider Automation and the ServiceChannel Provider mobile application.
